New York City based musician Marilu Donovan specializes in performing, writing, and recording music for the harp.

 

Originally from Houston, Texas, Marilu holds a Bachelor of Music from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles.

 

She has performed, toured nationally and internationally, or recorded with a range of artists including Azealia Banks, Julie Byrne, Angel Deradoorian, Alexandra Drewchin (aka Eartheater), Gabrielle Herbst, Michael Pisaro, JG Thirlwell, Christina Vantzou, and Emily Haines.

 

Notable performances include Pitchfork Music Festival (Chicago), Unsound Festival (Poland), CTM at Berghain (Germany), NPR Tiny Desk (Washington D.C.), Le Guess Who (Holland), and FORM Festival (Arcosanti).
